Educator, Caregiver, Artist

I am the licensed owner and educator of A Child's Place, with over 30 years of experience in the field. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, with a focus on child and family development.

As I mention on the site's qualifications page, it is deeply important to me that I participate in ongoing training and education in the field of child care, and I strive to complete a minimum of 20 hours of further training/education each year. I want to be the best educator and caregiver I can be.

Outside of child care, I have a passion for art and ceramics. I incorporate this into my time with the children, as I believe art and expression does wonders for growth, at any age.

About the Program

At its core, A Child's Place is a place for young children to feel safe and welcome during the daytime while parents/guardians are away.

Our program is flexible: we adapt the needs of the families involved. Learning is not exclusive to school and daycare, but something that happens at home, with the help of educators and parents/guardians alike.

A day with us is sure to be packed with a variety of fun and learning. Our indoor activities range from board games, to singing and dancing, to sign language, to imaginative free play; our outdoor activities range from calm nature walks, to messy art projects, playing in the rain and sprinklers, and exciting science experiments! Be sure to bring your weather-appropriate attire.

A Child's Place is open weekdays from 7:30am to 5pm. We’re located in the Lewisburg area of Northern Corvallis. For more information, contact us.
